90's Fashions Make A Comeback (Inspired by Clueless)

If you were born in the 80's or early 90's you probably grew up on Clueless. Cher, aka Alicia Silverstone, was someone whose fashion I admired and whose whit I could laugh at. I'm pretty sure I watched the movie about 100 times just so I could study Cher's intricate wardrobe choices with that computerized closet that we all wished we had. As we all know, styles and trends usually make a comeback 10 or 15 years later, and as it does, Clueless inspired me to present those pieces that were worn back then and can also be a fashion statement now.
Oh, and if you haven't checked out Iggy Azalea's music video, it is a must-see! Enjoy!

Coachella ella ella ella

Coachella is approaching. That means all hipsters/wanna-be hipsters and everyone else who just wants to witness celebs running around in new boho chic ensembles are coming out to play. And of course you've got to buy something brand new to impress all the coachella-ers who actually know of the bands who are performing, and I'm not talking about the headliners (referring to Jimmy Kimmel's bit on asking people about non-existant band names at Coachella, see link here: Lie Witness News - Coachella 2013) You don't have to go over board, but a few new pieces would make you feel like you truly fit in with the crowd. I've got to give it up to my main homegirl who's living the dream in LA, working for Ellen (yes, Ellen Degeneres), and who is also going to be jamming out at the festival in April. As she asked me for my thoughts on what to wear to the festival, she encouraged me to come up with a few outfits to hopefully inspire my readers or take away some of the stress of getting "free spirit" ready for Coachella.

The Season of Flats

Yes, I do love prouncing around in my sky high heels, however I've got to admit, these flats will be a nice break for my messed up arches. The pointed toe flat is just like a modification of the heel, which is sort of a relief. The boho meets sophisticated look of the hottest shoe this season is a refreshing touch on a typical spring/summer flat. Spring is just around the corner, so even though we are still stuck with these snow covered streets, we definitely have some fabulous footwear to look forward to. And no, you do not have to break the bank to be "in style" this coming summer. J.crew, Aldo, and B Brian Atwood have great, inexpensive options for this must-have trend. Look below to see some of the best finds for when the warmer weather finally comes.

The Perfect Skirt... For Every Occasion

The Chicest Supermarket Around

Karl Lagerfeld pulled out all the stops when it came to Chanel's Fall/Winter 2014 collection. Of course the show has to be over the top and extravagant, but this show was just out of this world. The Supermarket theme was brilliant, where each and every product was labeled with a Chanel logo. The detail that was put into each product is incredible, from the barcodes to the food labels. The accessories were spot on with the chain styled shopping cart and the Chanel candied jewelry. After the show, the attendees were able to get in on the action. A dream come true right? Here's a look at the extremely innovative show from Paris Fashion Week.

PFW F/W 2014

Stella McCartney F/W 2014 rtw
One of my favourite designers out there. Everything Stella does always looks so effortlessly chic. She throws a curve ball when it comes to her comfort meets fabulous feel to the collection.

Saint Laurent F/W 2014 rtw
Lots of school-girl prep going on for Saint Laurent this season. Love how Hedi made all the pieces interchangeable, so that buying one or two items will feel like a bunch of different items.
